Clemson Football: Pick Against the Spread vs. NC State 2019

The Clemson football team is a heavy favorite coming into its matchup with NC State. Here’s our pick against the spread for the ACC Atlantic tilt.

The Clemson football team improved to 9-0 last weekend with a dominating 59-14 win over the Wofford Terriers.

After a week out-of-conference, the Tigers will be back in ACC play for the next two weeks as they look to clinch the ACC Atlantic Division and make it back to the ACC Championship game for a fifth-straight season.

The first challenge standing in the Tigers’ way: The NC State Wolfpack.

Spread Prediction vs. NC State

Current Spread: NC State +32.5

Spread Prediction:

The opening line on this one was 31 points, but it quickly rose to 32.5. It doesn’t matter. I’m taking Clemson football to cover the line and it shouldn’t be very close. NC State is one of the worst teams in the ACC Atlantic and the Tigers should be coming into this one with a chip on their shoulder after being ranked No. 5 in the first CFB Playoff rankings.

Look for Clemson to score a ton of points and to stay focused in this one as they attempt to send a message to committee members during this one. Plus, Dabo Swinney still remembers the shenanigans Dave Doeren tried to pull a couple of years ago when the Tigers were in Raleigh with ‘Laptop Gate.’

Over/Under: 54.5

Over/Under Prediction:

The total is only 54.5 and Vegas is either way off, or they know something that we don’t. I think there’s a great chance Clemson goes over that total by itself.

Look for the Tigers to score well into the 50s- possibly 60s- and for this one to go over the number by a fairly easy margin before it’s all said and done.
