4. Minnesota over Penn State (Nov. 9)

Perhaps this is a bit of a ‘lose-lose’ situation for Clemson football fans. Penn State will take on Minnesota today at noon and it would be picture perfect for us to see the Nittany Lions fall.

Penn State has heard all week how they have such great quality wins over Iowa and Michigan. The Nittany Lions are sitting pretty at No. 4 in the CFB Playoff rankings, but Minnesota is in the exact opposite situation.

The Golden Gophers are ranked No. 17- even with an undefeated record- and they’re being completely ignored by the playoff committee.

If they want a shot down the stretch, they have to win this. It’s at home and Penn State has struggled against teams all season. Could this be the upset?

Of course, if Minnesota did win, they’d vault up the polls and likely be competitors with Clemson for a spot in the field. So, Tiger fans would probably like to see them fall in the coming weeks, as well.
