College Football Spread Predictions: Week 11
Maryland at Ohio State
Current Spread: Ohio State -42
Spread Prediction:
Ohio State is a heavy favorite heading into this one against Maryland. Though the Buckeyes will win the game outright, they aren’t going to cover that enormous 42-point spread. Maryland is capable of scoring some points and they’ll keep it close for a little while. Ohio State is also due for a let-up game, which could be the case with this one.
Baylor at TCU
Current Spread: TCU +1.5
Spread Prediction:
Baylor is undefeated, but still ranked outside the top-10. Don’t look for that undefeated streak to continue in this one. TCU has played teams close for the most part this season and the Bears don’t have the experience or talent to remain unscathed over the course of an entire season.
Iowa at Wisconsin
Current Spread: Wisconsin -9.5
Spread Prediction:
It’s Big Ten football. Expect a 24-20 or 21-17 type game. Wisconsin will likely win with Jonathan Taylor at RB, but it will be ugly. The Badgers win, but don’t cover the spread because let’s be honest, both of these teams are immensely overrated.
LSU at Alabama
Current Spread: Alabama -7
Spread Prediction:
I’ve been going back-and-forth on this one all week. I actually believe LSU is the better team. However, I don’t like the Tigers’ chances of going on the road and beating Nick Saban when he’s had two weeks to prepare. Even though both have terrible defenses, Alabama has more talent on its defense and more experience in big-time games than LSU.
So, to review. We’re taking:
- Maryland +42 vs. Ohio State
- TCU +1.5 vs. Baylor
- Iowa +9.5 vs. Wisconsin
- Alabama -7 vs. LSU
