Where will Clemson football land in the first CFB Playoff rankings for 2019? Here’s our projection heading into the big unveil Tuesday night.

The 2019 Clemson football team enters the second week of November with a perfect 9-0 record. The Tigers have reeled off a 24-game winning streak and are looking to get back to the CFB Playoff four a fifth-straight season.

The first CFB Playoff rankings for the 2019 season will be released tonight. The rankings will be revealed between the Kansas-Duke and Michigan State-Kentucky basketball games like on ESPN. The approximate reveal time will be between 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

Over the course of the month of November, we will see a new ranking unveiled each Tuesday night with the final poll being released on Sunday, Dec. 8 following conference championship weekend.

Here’s our projections for where the Clemson football team will fall in the first CFB Playoff rankings.

CFB Playoff Rankings: Week 11 Projections

  1. LSU
  2. Ohio State
  3. Alabama
  4. Clemson
  5. Penn State
  6. Oregon
  7. Georgia
  8. Utah
  9. Oklahoma
  10. Florida

This is our projected poll, not necessarily what we think the CFB Playoff committee should do. If the committee is truly looking at resumes and strength of schedule, they’d probably have Clemson football No. 3 behind LSU and Ohio State. However, I think you’ll see the Tigers firmly planted at No. 4 with an opportunity to move ahead after this week’s LSU-Alabama matchup.

Penn State will be No. 5 on the outside-looking in and then I think we could see a little switch up at No. 6 with Oregon beating out Georgia. Utah, Oklahoma and Florida will likely close out the top-10 with Baylor not far behind.

Clemson football is in position to get back to the CFB Playoff. All the Tigers need to worry about is winning each week and everything else will fall into place. Look for the committee to have a few differences, but for their poll to look similar to the AP Poll as the first rankings are revealed Tuesday evening.
