The Clemson football team will host FCS-opponent Wofford this Saturday afternoon in Death Valley.
The game is scheduled to kickoff at 4 p.m. and will be broadcasted live on the ACC Network. The Tigers are looking to improve to 9-0 on the season and cover a massive 47-point spread in the process.
Here’s a look at our staff scoring predictions for the upcoming matchup.
Shawn Spencer
Score: Clemson 63, Wofford 7
Reason: It’s just Wofford and it doesn’t matter, they say, but they are wrong. This game is going to be important in building depth as the Tigers look to get back to the CFB Playoff. A lot of those young, inexperienced players are going to be given their biggest opportunity of the season and that film will be important for the coaches moving forward. This game won’t be close, but it’s certainly more important than many will understand from the outside-looking-in.
Cole Little
Score: Clemson 63, Wofford 7
Reason: Clemson’s red-hot offense should continue to flourish with FCS Wofford coming to town. Expect the Tigers to throttle the Terriers at Death Valley, and expect plenty of Tigers to receive playing time.
Barry Shuck
Score: Clemson 63, Wofford 17
Reason: Schools like Wofford need participation checks from schools like Clemson.
Tyreese Ingram
Score: Clemson 62, Wofford 7
Reason: This one should be over by the third quarter. Look for the starters to get plenty of rest and for the bench players to get plenty of playing time. The Tigers are in ‘taking care of business’ mode and Wofford is the next team in their path.
