The Clemson football team is ready to enter the next phase of the season, commonly referred to by Dabo Swinney as the ‘Championship Phase.’

Once the Clemson football team hits the month of November, the Tigers are ready to hit the ground running.

Clemson enters the final month of the regular season with a perfect 8-0 record looking to make a trek back to the CFB Playoff for a fifth-straight year.

The Tigers never come out firing on all cylinders. Dabo Swinney prides himself on having his team playing its best football in the months of November, December and January. Clemson football focuses on building depth during September and October, but then ramps up the intensity during November as they progress towards their goals.

November doesn’t just begin the ‘Championship Phase’ of the season because the Tigers are trying to get back to the CFB Playoff, it marks the opportunity for Clemson football to achieve several overarching goals.

The Tigers enter November with an opportunity to clinch the ACC Atlantic Division. With a Wake Forest loss, Clemson could clinch next week against NC State on the road. If the Demon Deacons continue to win, the Tigers will take on Wake Forest in Death Valley with a chance to clinch the division.

Clinching the division is the next goal on the table for Clemson football.

After clinching the division, the Tigers will have a goal of winning the State Championship, also known as the Palmetto Bowl. For each of the last five years, Clemson has capped off the regular season with a win over in-state rival South Carolina.

The Tigers will be looking to continue that streak in Williams-Brice this year against a Gamecock team that will be desperate for a huge win at the end of November.

After that comes the ACC Championship- assuming Clemson clinches the Atlantic Division- and then hopefully a bid into the CFB Playoff.

It all begins in November with the ‘Championship Phase.’ Look for the Tigers to be laser-focused from here on out as they attempt to finish off the regular season undefeated for a second-straight year.
