The Clemson football team took care of rival Florida State Saturday afternoon in Death Valley with an impressive win over the Seminoles.

With an impressing, dominating game against the Florida State Seminoles all the questions going into this game about the Clemson Tigers were answered.

The Tigers got the scoring started with a two minute, 6-play drive and things just got worse for the Seminoles after that.

James Blackman threw two interceptions and one of them was a pick-six for Derion Kendrick, allowing the defense to continue their dominant effort.

Trevor Lawrence finished the afternoon with 17 completions for 170 yards with 3 touchdowns against only one interception. Lawrence also had 40 yards rushing and a touchdown. Running back Travis Etienne went for 127 yards on 17 carries and one receiving touchdown.

Analysis:

This was just the game the Tigers needed to get their season back on track. With all sides of the ball firing on all cylinders they can finally prove why they deserve to stay in the mix for their next national championship.

Clemson thoroughly controlled Florida State from start-to-finish, leaving no doubt.

Every offensive question that analysts and fans had about the Tigers after the lackluster performance against North Carolina was answered emphatically. Clemson controlled every facet of the game.

The Tigers were dominant. The offense looked balanced and the defense didn’t allow any points until then game had been firmly decided.

One of the most encouraging aspects of the offense was Trevor Lawrence’s performance. Other than one questionable decision that ended with an interception, he looked good on his passes and dished out throws to several different receivers.

Clemson built depth in this one, as well. The Tigers had the talent and depth to score as many points as they wanted to Saturday afternoon.
