Offensive MVP

It’s a bit difficult to select the Offensive MVP for the first half of the 2019 Clemson football season, but we decided to go with RB Travis Etienne.

Why?

Etienne had a huge performance against Georgia Tech, he has 462 yards (6.9 YPC) and five touchdowns on the ground and has made some plays in the passing game, as well.

The reason Etienne is the true MVP of the offense to this point lies outside of his stat line, though. Defenses are game planning around the running back’s skill. Defenses have taken notice of his explosiveness and are trying everything in their power to take it away.

When he’s that much of a headache to game plan for, you know that he’s a special play-maker.
