What’s the status of the Clemson football players heading into the match up with North Carolina. Here’s a look at the injury report for the Tigers.

The Clemson football team has played four-straight games and now has just one hurdle in the way before they get an all-important bye week.

The Tigers will take on the North Carolina Tar Heels this afternoon in Kenan Stadium with a chance to improve to 5-0 on the season and remain undefeated and atop the CFB polls.

So, what do the injuries look like heading into the match up? Here’s a look at our Clemson football injury report as the Tigers prepare to take Mack Brown and UNC.

Injury Report vs. North Carolina

  • LB Bryton Constantin (Out for season), Torn ACL
  • OL Blake Vinson (Out for season), Patella injury

Vinson’s injury was announced this week following the Charlotte victory. He was heavily entrenched as the second-string right tackle. Most likely, that will spell more playing time for Jordan McFadden, who will play both sides, and freshman OG Will Putnam, who could take over as second-string guard and allow Chandler Reeves to move out and play some offensive tackle.

Dabo Swinney told the media this week that WR Justyn Ross would be good to go. He had a sore hip, but was ready to play if called upon last Saturday. The coaches elected to hold him as a precaution, but he’ll be back in the starting lineup this weekend.

Overall, Clemson football is in good shape heading into the fifth week of the season. Obviously, you experience some bumps and bruises just from the game itself, but there are only two players who are out at this point.

The bye week will help the Tigers recuperate and refresh themselves for the rest of the season. So, the key to this game will be avoiding injuries and playing a clean match up with the Tar Heels.
