The Clemson football team will travel up to Chapel Hill, NC for a matchup with the Tar Heels Saturday afternoon, but there’s little chance for an upset.

The Clemson football team has methodically put opponents away through the first part of the season.

The Tigers haven’t looked flashy and they certainly haven’t attempted to run up the score, but they still just find ways to win games while covering inflated spreads. Clemson football opened up the season with an impressive 52-14 win over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

The Tigers followed that up with a 24-10 win over Texas A&M and the game wasn’t as close as the score indicated. Texas A&M scored a touchdown with less than 10 seconds remaining for a backdoor cover.

Clemson followed that win up with 41-6 win over Syracuse in the Carrier Dome and then returned home and defeated the Charlotte 49ers 52-10 in Death Valley.

For the season, the Clemson football team has beaten opponents by a combined score of 169-40. That’s an average win margin of 32.25 points per game.

The Tigers step into this week a 26.5-point favorite over the North Carolina Tar Heels. North Carolina is coming off two-straight losses to Wake Forest and Appalachian State after they beat South Carolina and Miami to open the season.

While many Tar Heel fans will be looking for an upset, there’s really no reason for Tiger fans to fret. Here are five reasons UNC stands no chance when the two teams match up on the field Saturday afternoon.
