Clemson Football: Tiger fans killed it during Disney movie filming
The Clemson football faithful stayed in their seats for halftime during Disney’s filming of a movie in Death Valley and it was absolutely magical.
As most have heard by now, a Disney film about former Clemson football player Ray Ray McElrathbey is currently in production.
The film, which is set to be released at some point next year, is supposed to be an exclusive on Disney’s new platform Disney Plus. The film will detail McElrathbey’s life and how he was granted custody of his younger brother Fahmarr while on the Clemson football team. Because of the help from the Tiger community, McElrathbey was able to raise his younger brother, overcome adversity and receive an education.
As part of the film, Disney filmed several scenes during halftime of the Clemson football team’s match up with Charlotte, and Tiger fans absolutely killed it.
The fake Clemson football team began their filming at the top of the hill. They entered Death Valley to the roar of Tiger fans who made it seem like a true game day moment. Not only did Clemson football fans remain in their seats for the filming of the movie, they made noise and did a great job as ‘extras’ in the film.
When the opposing team entered the film, fans booed. Clemson fans cheered as the actors ran through three plays on the field.
The atmosphere was all that Disney could’ve asked for and more. As a matter of fact, you could say that it was magical. Fans did an excellent job and that’s a credit to the Clemson football faithful for being good sports.
As a result, those in attendance got to experience something that very few can ever say they’ve had a chance to: Production of a Disney movie. After all, it’s only fitting that Disney- a company that tokens ‘the most magical place on earth- comes and takes in the magic that is known as Death Valley.
