Clemson Football: 5 Tigers to watch vs. Charlotte 49ers

5. Derion Kendrick

Derion Kendrick has proven that he’s going to be a great cornerback.

Kendrick has the ability and potential to develop into an elite defensive back, not just in college but in the NFL one day, as well.

That being said, the reason Clemson football fans should be watching him in this one has little to do with the game itself.

Kendrick suffered from some back spasms Saturday night and was forced to miss the majority of the game against Syracuse. He’s expected to return Saturday and it’ll be interesting to see his range of motion and how he performs.

Sometimes, back spasms can be lingering issues that take rest to heal. Hopefully that isn’t the case and he’s ready to go at 100 percent.
