The Clemson football team will take on the Charlotte 49ers Saturday night in Death Valley. Here are five Tigers to watch in the match up.

The Clemson football team went up to the Carrier Dome (now known as The Dome) last weekend and came away with an impressive 41-6 victory over the Syracuse Orange.

Despite leaving points on the field, the Tigers covered the massive 28-point spread and proved to the nation that they aren’t going anywhere any time soon. Clemson is now 3-0 on the season and 2-1 against the spread heading into the match up with UNC Charlotte.

Charlotte comes into this game with a 2-1 record, with their lone loss coming to Appalachian State a couple of weeks ago. Despite being a lower level opponent, Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney has remained high on the 49ers and believes that they have some talented players who could come in and compete if the Tigers don’t show up ready to go.

Clemson is considered a 41-point favorite coming into this one and the vast majority of the money is still going on the Tigers.

Clemson football has shown the potential for winning back-to-back National Titles and it’s clear that the Tigers have the talent to do so.

This weekend, in my opinion, is more about building depth. We’re going to see a lot of the young guys early and often. We’re going to see the coaches mix in a variety of players with the hopes of building the program for the remainder of the season.

With that in mind, here are five Tigers to watch in the match up with the Charlotte 49ers.
