The Clemson football team will travel up to Syracuse to take on the Orange in the Carrier Dome Saturday evening.
The game, slated for 7:30 p.m. on ABC, will determine a lot about the 2019 season. Syracuse is looking to rebound from an embarrassing loss to Maryland last week. If the Orange somehow came away with an upset, they’d be in the driver’s seat for winning the ACC Atlantic.
Likewise, Clemson football wants to get a jumpstart on winning the ACC Atlantic and advancing back to the conference title game. To do that, the Tigers need to beat the Orange here early in the season.

Interestingly enough, Clemson football opened as a 24-point favorite, but that spread has quickly grown. The Tigers are now listed as a 28-point favorite and it seems that the vast majority of money is still being put on Clemson.
That’s for good reason.
The more I’ve thought about this game, the more I like the Tigers. Clemson is fully focused for this one and they have the Orange highlighted. There isn’t any drama or distractions this time around. The game isn’t being played on a Friday night before a bye week.
Clemson is going to come out focused and ready to go and I think the Tigers cover that spread before it’s all said and done.

The final score for this one looks something like 42-10, 49-20, 56-20 or 48-17. Maybe it’s a little lower like 38-10 right on the spread. Whether the game goes ‘over’ or not will probably be determined by how many points Syracuse contributes to the game. For now, we’re going to take the ‘under’ with the thought that the Tiger defense has a big game Saturday.
