Clemson Football: 5 storylines to watch vs. Syracuse 2019

3. The battle in the trenches

Syracuse may have the best defensive line that Clemson will face this season.

The Orange have some talent, especially at the edge-rushers, and that will be a challenge for the Tigers coming into this one. Of course, those edge rushers couldn’t stop Maryland from scoring 63.

That being said, it will be interesting to see who wins the battle in the trenches on both sides of the ball. How does the Clemson offensive line look? What about the defensive line against that up-tempo spread offense?

The Tigers have more talent and depth, so it’ll be interesting to see if they can get the job done up-front.
