The Clemson football team will host the Texas A&M Aggies Saturday in Death Valley. Here are five potential concerns for the match up.
The Clemson football team opened up the 2019 season with a 52-14 victory over Georgia Tech Thursday night in a game that was televised on the newly-launched ACC Network.
The Tigers have now turned their attention to the No. 11 ranked Texas A&M Aggies, who are looking to pull off a major upset Saturday afternoon in Death Valley.
Clemson is currently a 17.5-point favorite in the match up, but it’s clear that the Tigers will be tested when the Aggies come to town. Last season, Texas A&M rallied and had an opportunity to tie the ballgame up late in the match up with Clemson in College Station. The Tigers held on for a 28-26 victory.
Interestingly enough, Trevor Lawrence only threw nine passes in that game and Travis Etienne had just eight carries. Justyn Ross only played a handful of snaps and didn’t even catch a pass.
Despite the fact that the Tigers are the more talented team on paper, there’s still reason to believe that Texas A&M can challenge Clemson football, at least for a little while, and perhaps put themselves in position if things go in their favor.
Here are five potential concerns for Clemson football heading into the Texas A&M match up. It should be noted that we don’t see the Aggies winning the game, but we do see match ups that could be exploited in their favor. Keep in mind these are “potential” concerns and should be taken as such.
