The Clemson football team will host Texas A&M Saturday afternoon in Death Valley. Here are five keys to a victory for the Tigers.

After a solid 52-14 win over Georgia Tech to open the season, the Clemson football team will host the Texas A&M Aggies Saturday afternoon in Death Valley.

The Tigers are currently ranked No. 1 in the nation and are looking to add a nice win to their resume before beginning conference play. Texas A&M is ranked No. 11 in the country and is looking for revenge from last year’s 28-26 loss to the Tigers in College Station.

Though Clemson is considered a 17.5-point favorite by most Vegas books, the Tigers are the subject of ‘upset alert’ heading into this one. Several national analysts have already predicted that Texas A&M won’t just cover impressive spread, but also win the game outright.

The Aggies certainly have talent to compete and trending upwards heading into the second year of Jimbo Fisher. This game is especially important for Texas A&M, though, because of the schedule that the Aggies will face following the Tigers. Texas A&M has Alabama, Georgia and LSU on its schedule later in the season, which could make for a long year if they lose to Clemson.

Even though this game won’t be the feature for ESPN College GameDay, it’s still one of the top match ups from around the nation.

With that being said, here are five keys to a victory for the Clemson football team against Texas A&M.
