5. Will Spiers

Will Spiers had a pretty good outing against Georgia Tech to open the 2019 season, but this week he’ll certainly be challenged.

Hopefully the Tigers aren’t sending the punting team out all that often Saturday afternoon, but when they do, it will be important for Spiers to change field position.

He’ll be battling one of the nation’s top punters in Braden Mann and the game of field position could be a huge storyline in this one.

Mann did a great job of forcing the Tigers to stay in bad field position last season. Spiers doesn’t necessarily need to go toe-to-toe with Mann, but he definitely needs to turn the field when he can and give the Tiger defense the best chance possible to be successful.
