The Clemson football team will open up the 2019 season against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Here’s the injury report for the Tigers heading into Week 1.

The Clemson football team will open up the 2019 season tonight against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m. ET and will be broadcasted live on the ACC Network, as well as featured on ESPN College GameDay pregame.

Here’s a look at the injury report for the Tigers heading into Week 1.

Clemson Football Injury Report: Week 1

  • WR Amari Rodgers (out), torn ACL
  • LB Bryton Constantin (out), torn ACL

Overall, the Tigers only have these two players that will be unavailable Thursday night, according to Dabo Swinney.

Both Rodgers and Constantin are recovering from torn ACLs earlier in the spring. Rodgers dressed in full pads during the beanie bowl and is actually progressing quite nicely.

He is expected back by the end of September or early October, which is remarkable timing. Dabo Swinney and the Clemson football coaching staff are confident that Rodgers will play in the majority of games this season because of how fast he has recovered.

Freshman LB Bryton Constantin is expected to miss the majority of the 2019 season and redshirt as he recovers from his injury. Constantin could potentially recover and play in up to four games at the end of the season, but the consensus is that he’ll redshirt and be 100 percent ready for the 2020 Clemson football season.

DL Logan Cash was expected to miss the entire season due to an injury, but Dabo Swinney told the media on Monday that he had decided to withdraw from school. There isn’t any word yet on what his future plans are at this point.

A few other Clemson football players have been banged up during fall camp, but that isn’t expected to limit them Thursday night. Notably, freshman WR Frank Ladson Jr. and TE Davis Allen are both back and available to play after missing a decent amount of practice time during fall camp.
