The 2019 Clemson football season is just one day away from kickoff. Here are five bold predictions for the Tigers’ match up with Georgia Tech.

The 2019 Clemson football season is upon us.

After several months of enduring an offseason filled with meaningless chatter, the Tigers will officially be back in action Thursday evening against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

The game will be broadcasted live on the ACC Network and will be featured on the popular show ESPN College GameDay.

The Clemson football team steps into the 2019 season looking to defend a National Championship, but the road back to the CFB Playoff won’t be easy. The Tigers are tasked with replacing several key contributors and leaders off of the 2018 team, including Christian Wilkins, Mitch Hyatt, Dexter Lawrence, Clelin Ferrell and Hunter Renfrow, to name a few.

Thursday will be the first time Clemson football fans get to see some of the new players compete at the collegiate level. In addition to seeing new Tigers step onto the field, many veterans will be taking on new leadership roles. All of that combined presents question marks, but there’s certainly talent to answer.

As Dabo Swinney said in his Monday press conference, this game isn’t just important for the Tigers because it is the season-opener, it’s also important because it’s an ACC game. To get back to the CFB Playoff, Clemson must first focus on winning the conference and that all begins with the game against the Yellow Jackets.

As we continue to dive into the match up with Georgia Tech, let’s take a look at five bold predictions for the ACC match up.
