The Clemson Tigers will open up the 2019 season with a home game against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
The last time we saw the Tigers, they defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide 44-16 in the National Championship game back in January.
Now, Clemson will look to defend its title and that all begins Thursday with the ACC match up against Georgia Tech.
If you’re not going to be able to make it out to Death Valley for the season-opener, here’s a look at all the information you need to know to stream, watch or listen to the game live Thursday evening. We’ve also included odds and important notes for the game.
Broadcast Information:
The game is scheduled to kick off promptly at 8 p.m. on the newly-launched ACC Network. Check with your TV provider to see what channel the ACC Network is programmed on.
Right now, major providers in the area including Spectrum, Hulu Live, Youtube TV, Direct TV, Playstation Vue and several others carry the network. However, if you were a customer of Spectrum back when it was Time Warner Cable, you will need to call the company to upgrade your package.
That being said, Davey O’Brien (play-by-play), Tim Hasselbeck (color), Katie George (sideline) and Maria Taylor (sideline) will call the game live on the ACC Network.
If you’re a Clemson football fan wanting to listen to the game, you can hear the broadcast live on Clemson Tigers Sports Radio Affiliates or on the WCCP-FM ‘The Roar’ app. The game also can be heard on Sirius XM Channel 84. Don Munson (play-by-play), CJ Spiller (color), Tim Bourret (color) and Reggie Merriweather (sideline) will call the game live.
Vegas Odds, Game Notes:
Clemson comes into this game as a 36-point favorite, according to Vegas. The Tigers hold a four-game winning streak over Georgia Tech, but currently trail in the series 31-51-2 overall.
Though the Tigers clearly hold an advantage in terms of talent and depth, Georgia Tech has the element of ‘surprise and unknown’ on their hands. The Yellow Jackets have a new staff, led by Head Coach Geoff Collins, and they don’t have basically any film. Expect to see Collins throw in some trickery early on in this one as a result.
