3. Unknowns in the Secondary

Clemson returns AJ Terrell, Tanner Muse and K’Von Wallace as starters in the secondary. The Tigers also have veterans like Nolan Turner, Denzel Johnson, as well as talented players like Derion Kendrick, Mario Goodrich, freshman Andrew Booth and freshman Sheridan Jones.

That’s just naming a few.

There’s plenty of talent and experience in the secondary for the unit to be elite, but the question is if they’ll take that next step.

The defensive backfield was inconsistent at best last season, but performed well in the CFB Playoff. Can they build off that performance of become one of the best units in the country? Only time will tell.
