Rivals.com updated its top 250 heading into the coming season. The new ratings have Clemson football back on top and in position for much more.

Rivals.com updated its top 250 for the 2020 cycle heading into the coming season.

The new rankings saw the Clemson football 2020 class move back into its rightful place at No. 1 in the nation and saw a few Tiger commits be bolstered up the list. Currently, Clemson football now has five 5-stars according to Rivals.

QB commit DJ Uiagalelei is ranked as the No. 1 player in the nation with DL commit Bryan Bresee coming in at No. 2 overall. The Tigers also boast commitments from the No. 8 (Myles Murphy), No. 24 (Demarkcus Bowman) and No. 25 (Fred Davis) recruits in the nation.

Outside of the 5-stars, Clemson also has several 4-star commitments, according to the service. OT Walker Parks (No. 56), DT Demonte Capehart (No. 64), DB RJ Mickens (No. 73), OG Mitchell Mayes (No. 121), DT Tre Williams (No. 168), OG Bryn Tucker (No. 203), OG Paul Tchio (No. 216) and LB Sergio Allen (No. 225) were also included in the Rivals 250.

The most intriguing aspect of the new list, though, is the prospective chances for Clemson football. The Tigers already have commitments from the No. 1 and No. 2 players in the class of 2020. Clemson is in good position with LB Justin Flowe (No. 3 player in the nation) and DE Jordan Burch (No. 4 player in the nation).

While neither of those guys have indicated that they’re ready to shut down their recruitment, the Tigers do seem to be out front in the race for Flowe and are entrenched in a two-way battle with in-state rival South Carolina for Burch.

There have been rumors that Flowe- who released his top-four just a few weeks ago- could actually move up his timetable (originally December) and announce his commitment in the fall. All of that, however, is speculation this point.

Clemson is also in the running for 4-star WR EJ Williams (No. 129) and 4-star WR Xzavier Henderson (No. 116). Williams is expected to announce his decision on August 24 and has a top school group that consists of Clemson, Alabama, Auburn and LSU.
