4. Chad Smith

Chad Smith is one of the oldest players on the 2019 Clemson football roster.

Smith, a redshirt senior, has waited his turn behind plenty of talented linebackers over the past few seasons. Now, Smith is in prime position to be a starter for the Tigers.

Smith is listed as the starter at the MIKE position, but he has been practicing at the WILL position during fall camp. Either way, Smith is going to have an opportunity to play a lot of snaps and make plays during this final season.

He’s a head-hunter and it will be fun to see what the veteran can do this year.
