The possibility of Clemson football picking up a commitment from 5-star LB Justin Flowe is becoming more real. Flowe is trending towards the Tigers.

It’s still not time for Clemson football fans to add another Tiger to their boards, but it’s clear that 5-star LB Justin Flowe has real interest in joining Dabo Swinney and Co.

Flowe reportedly had a great trip this past weekend during the All-In Cookout and the Tigers have certainly given the California product something to think about heading into the fall as far as his recruitment is concerned.

Flowe was considered a heavy USC lean back in the spring and early summer before things started to pick up with Clemson football.

Now, many recruiting insiders would say that the Tigers are his leader heading into the football season.

Clemson 247 Analyst Anna Hickey recently placed a crystal ball in favor of the Tigers for Flowe, as well as National Recruiting Analyst Greg Biggins. The Tigers now hold a 67 percent prediction rate for Flowe with USC holding the other 33 percent.

Analysis:

At this point, it would seem that the Tigers have at least pulled even with USC in the battle for Flowe, potentially even a bit ahead.

It will be tough for Clemson football to maintain a lead considering the proximity that the Trojans possess, but they’ve certainly made an impactful impression.

Not only has the coaching staff continued to do a good job in recruiting Flowe, but the commitments in the 2020 class have done an excellent job making him feel as if he’s already a part of the class.

It’s clear that Bryan Bresee, in particular, wants Flowe to join this group of already-talented defensive players and this would be a huge pickup for the Tigers.

Flowe is still expected to take a few official visits this fall and that will ultimately shape his decision, but the Tigers are in the conversation and that’s all you can ask for at this point.
