Defensive Back: Andrew Booth

Incoming freshman Andrew Booth is the highest-rated defensive back to ever sign with Clemson, and it’s really not even that close.

Booth (0.9891 rating) was considered the No. 2 cornerback in the past class and certainly has the skillset to be a special player at the next level. Mackensie Alexander was the highest-rated defensive back before Booth, posting a 0.9853 rating. For reference, Alexander was the No. 4 cornerback in his class.

Booth has a little more size than what Alexander possessed, but has the same type of athleticism and physicality to be a lockdown cornerback from the very beginning.

He has been going through summer workouts and will get an opportunity to compete for playing time this season during fall camp.
