5-star Clemson football target Jordan Burch is expected to be at the All-In Cookout this weekend, according to several reports.

5-star Clemson football target Jordan Burch is expected to be on campus this weekend for the Tigers’ annual All-In Cookout, according to The State’s Matt Connolly.

Burch, a product of Hammond School in Columbia, SC, is considered the nation’s No. 1 overall player according to the 247 Sports’ Composite player rankings.

Burch and his mother will be on campus for the event and this is the first time the two have been back on Clemson’s campus in quite some time.

Though he was considered a Tiger lean back at the beginning of the year, it seemed as if things swung in favor of in-state rival South Carolina during the spring. There was a string of several weeks where Burch made visits to the South Carolina campus during that time period.

In addition to the Gamecocks, it seemed as if Georgia made a little run during the latter part of the spring as well.

Burch’s family has kept his recruitment close to the vest for the most part and haven’t leaked any news. It seems that he’s taking his time and weighing all of the options before coming to a final conclusion.

Getting Burch back on campus, though, is big news for Clemson football.

The Tigers have the top class in the nation for the 2020 cycle and certainly would like to add the talented in-state product. With him back on campus, the coaches will be able to continue building a relationship and get an idea of where they stand with the talented defensive end.

Don’t expect a decision from Burch any time soon. He will likely plan several official visits this fall and then will make a final choice following those visits.

If Burch did choose to commit to Clemson football, he’d join a class that features DL Bryan Bresee (No. 2 overall player in the nation), DE Myles Murphy (No. 4 overall) and QB DJ Uiagalelei (No. 12 overall) in addition to several other 5-star and 4-star prospects.

In addition to Burch, 5-star LB Justin Flowe (No. 3 overall) is expected to be on campus for the cookout.
