5. Jaelyn Lay

Jaelyn Lay has been reportedly working hard this offseason getting ready for the upcoming year.

Lay had a little trouble catching passes in the spring game, but it’s still clear that he’s going to make an impact as a freshman.

The Tigers only have three scholarship tight ends on the roster- Lay, veteran JC Chalk and fellow freshman Davis Allen. With those being the only options, he’s going to get on the field.

If Lay can develop into a decent pass-catcher, he’s already proven that he has the athleticism and physicality to play the position and could be a huge asset for Clemson later in the season.
