Clemson Football: 5-star LB Justin Flowe trending in Tigers’ direction
5-star Clemson football target Justin Flowe is becoming a real possibility for the Tigers. Is he trending in the direction of Clemson currently?
Over the course of the past few weeks, we’ve seen an increase in Clemson football commitments recruiting 5-star LB Justin Flowe.
Flowe, who was considered a heavy USC lean, has shown interest in Clemson for quite some time and his name is becoming more and more linked with the Tigers as we head into the thick of summer.
A California native, Flowe seemingly has a close relationship with 5-star QB commit DJ Uiagalelei. In addition to the recruiting being done by Uiagalelei, 5-star DL Bryan Bresee has been at the forefront of attempting to get Flowe back to Clemson and to join the already-special 2020 recruiting cycle for the Tigers.
The picture of Clemson football commits jumping on board to recruit Flowe is just an illustration of what the staff has already known for months. The coaching staff likes where they stand with Flowe and believe they have a chance at signing the talented 5-star prospect before it’s all said and done.
Currently, it would seem that Flowe is still favoring USC. He has been linked to the Trojans for quite some time and it would certainly not be a surprise at all if he chose to stay closer to home and join Southern Cal.
However, Clemson has been lights out recruiting in the state of California lately, signing 5-star WR Joseph Ngata in the last class and gaining a commitment from 5-star QB Uiagalelei in this class. That brand and the family atmosphere have certainly struck a chord with Flowe.
The key for the Tigers will be getting the talented linebacker back on campus soon.
He’ll likely take an official visit to Clemson later this fall and that may be the biggest opportunity for Clemson football. Flowe isn’t expected to make a decision any time soon and may very well take his decision into National Signing Day, but it’s very clear that the Tigers are making some noise with the talented linebacker prospect.
