The success of the Clemson football program has left a sour taste in the mouths of many in the media. Here are five that absolutely hate the Tigers.

You can’t be loved by everyone.

As the success of Clemson football has increased, the amount of hate from media members- especially in the region- has also increased.

Many national analysts, who used to doubt the Tigers, have actually come around and believe in Clemson football. Analysts like Kirk Herbstreit, Chris Fowler and Scott Van Pelt have been complimentary of Dabo Swinney and the entire Tiger program.

Over the years, the national media has changed its narrative from pushing the “Clemsoning” angle to talking about the dominance that the Tigers have shown. Though from time to time, there seems to be a small bias or a question may arise, but for the most part the Tigers have put to bed the angles of the past and are considered one of the two elite programs in the nation.

However, regional media members remain skeptical and look for angles to which they can attract a reading or viewing audience. Regional media members have to appeal to a more specialized audience that reacts to pieces written about Clemson- good or bad. This includes Clemson fans for obvious reasons, as well as fans of the SEC and South Carolina and Georgia fans.

In many cases, that means trying to discredit or belittle what Clemson football has done for the sake of appealing to a certain fan base or demographic.

Here are five media members- both organizations and individuals- that absolutely hate the Tigers.
