1. Trevor Lawrence

Topping off our list is the best sophomore in the nation.

Trevor Lawrence took over as the starter at quarterback for Clemson football last season four games into the season. He grew as the year progressed and eventually led the Tigers to a perfect 15-0 season that included an ACC Championship and 44-16 win over Alabama in the National Championship game.

Lawrence was named the Offensive MVP of the National Championship.

As he enters this season, Trevor Lawrence is considered one of the favorites to win the Heisman Trophy. He is one of the top players in the country, no doubt, and will only get better after another summer of workouts.
