5. Sacks in a season

Xavier Thomas has an opportunity to be special. If you watched the true-freshman play last year, it was clear that he is going to develop into a first-round draft pick in a couple of years.

As a matter of fact, I think he’ll be a top-five draft pick when it’s all said and done.

Thomas is just too explosive and too quick for opposing offensive tackles and even running backs out of the backfield to handle. Because of that, he’s going to cause a lot of trouble for offenses this season.

Keith Adams currently holds the record for most sacks in a single season by a Clemson football player at 16.

For Thomas to break that record, he’d need to average a little over a sack per game, which certainly seems within reason.
