Clemson Football: 5 Reasons Dabo Swinney deserves a statue immediately
2. The accolades speak for themselves
Not only is his character great. Swinney’s accolades on the field speak for themselves.
After 10 years as the leader of the Clemson football program, Dabo Swinney has won five ACC Championships, has four CFB Playoff appearances and two National Titles.
He has led the Tigers to several big bowl victories- including wins over teams like LSU, Oklahoma, Notre Dame and Ohio State- as well as 8-straight 10-plus win seasons.
Swinney’s career record as a head coach is 116-30, which means he is just 49 wins away from breaking the all-time winning record set by Frank Howard. The difference, though, is that it took Howard 29 seasons to put up those numbers.
Swinney has done it all in just 10 years.
