Clemson Football: 5-star RB commit Demarkcus Bowman is All-In
5-star Clemson football commit Demarkcus Bowman is still being recruited by the Florida Gators, but he has been adamant he isn’t interested.
5-star Clemson football commit Demarkcus Bowman revealed in an interview with 247 Sports that though the Florida coaches were still contacting him, his recruitment is shutdown.
The Gators, who had been considered the favorite to win Bowman’s services, are hoping to flip the talented Clemson football commit after he announced his decision a few weeks ago.
Bowman has been extremely complimentary of Florida, saying that he has respect for the Gators and loves the coaching staff. But, in the same light, he has been adamant that he is 100 percent committed to Clemson and is excited to begin his career as a Tiger.
Bowman told 247 Sports that he will only take visits to Clemson and that he has a great relationship with Tiger coach Tony Elliott.
Having a running back like Bowman is a huge asset for the Tigers. He is one of the top running backs in the nation and what sets him apart is his explosiveness.
Bowman has the ability to come in and compete for playing time right away because of the fact that any time he touches the ball, he could go for a touchdown. He’s reminiscent, in a lot of ways, to a Dalvin Cook. He just has that level of explosiveness and it’s something special to watch.
In addition to Bowman being an extremely special player, he is a great person off the field. He is honored to his commitment and is excited about joining the Clemson football program.
Bowman has handled his entire recruitment with class and it’s clear that he’s going to fit in well from the culture aspect of Clemson when he arrives on campus next year.
Bowman is the No. 2 rated running back in the nation and the No. 1 player out of the state of Florida, according to 247 Sports’ Composite player rankings.
