It won’t be long before the beloved video game NCAA FB returns, and there very well could be a Clemson football player on the cover.

At some point here in the future, we’re going to see EA Sport’s NCAA Football video game return to the market.

After being shut down due to issues of paying players for their likenesses, the video game could be making a resurgence in the near future.

It was announced just a week ago that the NCAA was forming a committee to consider changing rules to allow players to be paid for use of their names, images and likenesses, first reported by ESPN. Should there be a rule change, EA Sports said that it was more than open to bringing the beloved video game back.

Should there be a rule change, EA Sports could potentially use the real names of players in its video games instead of naming the player “QB # 16,” for example.

If the game did, in fact, make a resurgence, there’s a good chance we’d see a Clemson football player on the cover of the video game, which is something we’ve never seen before. If the committee could make a change by next year, Trevor Lawrence would be the favored candidate to wind up on the cover of the game.

Lawrence is, without a doubt, the most recognizable face of College Football right now and he is becoming a household name due to his freakish arm ability and flowy blonde hair.

If it took a few more years, DJ Uiagalelei could emerge as the new face of Clemson football and become the favorite to be on the front of the cover.

Next. 5-star Myles Murphy a versatile DE. dark

While there’s still plenty to sort out, it’s clear that the NCAA- and EA Sports- are heading down the right path, and all signs point to that happening sooner rather than later. Though, we should point out that the NCAA never seems to get things right.

Have faith, Clemson football nation, it’s only a matter of time before NCAA Football makes a comeback.
