5-star Clemson football target Myles Murphy will announce his decision this evening. Here’s all the information detailing his commitment decision.

The 2020 Clemson football recruiting class is one of the best in school history.

Before it’s all said and done, the class has potential to be one of the best in CFB history. Currently, the Tigers have four 5-stars committed and 10 4-stars, but they have their sights set on several more talented prospects.

The next big Clemson football target to announce will be 5-star DE Myles Murphy.

Murphy will announce his decision this evening during a star-studded high school spring game. Despite some reports from other outlets that Murphy will announce this morning, he will actually announce at half time of his high school’s spring game this evening.

There might not be a more star-studded spring game in the country Friday evening. The scrimmage will feature a matchup between two Georgia High School powerhouses in Hillgrove and Marietta, which both have several Power-5 prospects.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m., which will put his decision time being somewhere between 8:15 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Thoughts:

Clemson is certainly the favorite to win Murphy’s services when the commitment is made this evening. Murphy said he knew where he wanted to go to school several weeks ago, and he has visited Clemson multiple times this year.

Murphy has said that he wants to be in a good Engineering Program, which is certainly a marquee aspect of both Clemson and Auburn- the two schools he is considering.

It’s clear that Murphy would be a perfect fit for the culture of Clemson football. He wants to develop, not just as a football player, but as a person and gain an education.

I think the culture that Dabo Swinney has built resonates with Murphy and, in the end, I think he chooses the ACC Tigers Friday evening.
