Clemson Football: 5 Tigers challenged to improve in the summer

5. Jackson Carman

For the first time in several years, the Tigers don’t have a sure hand coming into the season at left tackle.

Jackson Carman will have to replace Mitch Hyatt, who finished with the most snaps in Clemson football history.

Carman had a solid spring, but he still needs to continue to improve during the summer.

At times during the spring game, you could see that he was still a step slower than what you’d like to see from your left tackle. He was able to recover with his long arms and physicality, but it’d be nice to see him get a little quicker in terms of foot speed and perhaps lose a little more weight before the start of fall camp.
