Clemson Football: 5-star 2020 DE Myles Murphy crystal ball
5-star Clemson football target Myles Murphy will announce his collegiate decision Friday. Here’s our prediction for where the talented DE will land.
The 2020 Clemson football recruiting class is already one of the best in school history.
Before it’s all said and done, the class has a chance to be the best in all CFB history. The Tigers have already garnered commitments from four 5-stars and 10 4-stars in the cycle and have their sights set on several other talented prospects.
One of the top remaining targets for Clemson football is 5-star DE Myles Murphy.
Murphy, a native of Powders Spring, GA, moved up his commitment because he said that he knew several weeks ago where he wants to go to school. He is now set to announce his decision Friday at halftime of his high school’s spring game. Kickoff for the spring game is set to begin at 7:30 p.m., so a decision expected to be announced somewhere between 8:15 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Analysis:
Murphy will be deciding between Clemson and Auburn Friday evening. The 5-star product has taken a couple of visits to Clemson and took a visit to Auburn back in February.
He has continually stressed the importance of an education and wants to be a part of an Engineering program during his time in college.
He is a talented defensive end with the ability to come in and compete for playing time right away.
Crystal Ball:
As of right now, Clemson has 100 percent of the 247 Sports Crystal Ball predictions and I tend to agree with the majority of recruiting analysts.
Right now, it would be a surprise if Murphy announced for Auburn over Clemson. The ACC Tigers seem to have this one locked up and I feel good about their chances for landing the 5-star DE when it’s all said and done.
