The Clemson football program is sitting pretty for the next few years, according to ESPN. The network ranked the top offenses for the near future.

The 2018 Clemson football team brought home a National Championship behind a dominant defensive performance, combined with a lethal offensive attack.

Though the Tigers will have to replace several key players off of last year’s defense, the offense is basically still intact.

Clemson football will have to replace four starters, overall, off of last year’s offense. Those include Hunter Renfrow, Justin Falcinelli, Mitch Hyatt and Milan Richard.

Though those four guys will be missed, there is reason to believe that the 2019 Clemson football offense will be the best in the nation. ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg certainly thinks so.

Rittenberg ranked his future CFB offensive power rankings that cover the 2019, 2020 and 2021 seasons. Rittenberg said he takes into account incoming recruits, returning play-makers and potential NFL departures when deciphering through the power rankings.

As a result, Clemson was ranked No. 1 in the nation. The Tigers also had the best future QB situation, according to Rittenberg, with Trevor Lawrence, Chase Brice and Taisun Phommachanh in the current QB room and 5-star QB DJ Uiagalelei set to join the group this January.

Thoughts:

It’s no wonder that Clemson is ranked No. 1 when it comes to offensive power rankings.

In 2019, the Tigers return Trevor Lawrence, Tee Higgins, Justyn Ross, Travis Etienne and a plethora of other talented pieces, all combined with an experienced and talented offensive line.

In 2020, Lawrence, Ross and several others will return as well.

When you look at the picture of offenses in the future, there is no program that has as much talent and depth as the Tigers.

The coaching staff isn’t slowing down, either. The Tigers are continuing to recruit at the highest level and are bringing in a ton of talent as a result.
