Tight Ends

Starter: JC Chalk

  • Jaelyn Lay

Though I’m sure that Braden Galloway will be listed on the post-spring depth chart, I’m not listing him unless he is cleared to play and the suspension that he is currently serving is lifted.

With Galloway gone, the Tigers only two tight ends listed on the roster currently. That’s veteran JC Chalk and true-freshman Jaelyn Lay.

Though Lay has a ton of athleticism, he’s got to work on his hands to become a true receiving threat. Because of that, I think we’ll see Chalk as the starter with Lay as the backup. Another freshman, Davis Allen, is set to join the group later this summer to add some depth to the position.
