The 2020 Clemson football recruiting class is testing off the charts. Here are some impressive numbers relating to the class at this point in the cycle.

The 2020 Clemson football recruiting class is going to be special.

The Tigers already have some of the top prospects from around the country and the class isn’t quite done yet.

This cycle for Clemson football is proving to be one of the most successful, not only in school history, but in CFB history.

Here are a few impressive notes for the class at this point in the 2020 cycle, as well as what to look forward as we head into the summer months.

Impressive Stats:

  • No. 1 for a reason…

The Clemson football recruiting class is ranked No. 1 in the nation, according to 247 Sports’ Composite team rankings.

The Tigers currently have a class average of 95.72, which is almost two points higher than the No. 2 team in the nation- LSU.

That average of 95.72 among 14 prospects is historical. The highest-rated class in the history of CFB was Ohio State’s 2017 class, which had a group average rating of 94.59. The Tigers are currently a full point ahead of that Buckeye class.

  • The best assembled…

Really pay attention to this stat because it is the physical representation of something absolutely dominant.

In the current class of 14 commitments, Clemson possesses the nation’s No. 1 quarterback (DJ Uiagalelei), No. 2 running back (Demarkcus Bowman), No. 5 OG (Mitchell Mayes) and No. 6 OG (Paul Tchio) offensively.

The Tigers have the nation’s three best defensive tackles- Bryan Bresee (No. 1), Demonte Capehart (No. 2) and Tre Williams (No.3)- as well as the nation’s No. 1 safety (RJ Mickens), No. 3 cornerback (Fred Davis) and No. 4 linebacker (Sergio Allen).

When you talk about talent, this is something unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. This class has a little bit of everything in it.

  • The Tigers aren’t done yet…

Finally, the Tigers aren’t done yet. Clemson still has its eyes set on several more elite targets in this 2020 recruiting cycle.

The Tigers are favorites to win the services of 5-star DE Myles Murphy, 4-star RB Daniyel Ngata and 4-star WR EJ Williams. Clemson is in good position for 5-star DE Jordan Burch and is still making moves in the recruitment processes of 5-star WR Julian Fleming, 5-star TE Arik Gilbert and 5-star LB Justin Flowe, just to name a few.
