Clemson Football: Bryan Bresee’s testing numbers are off the chart
Clemson football commit Bryan Bresee put up some astounding numbers this past weekend at the Nike Opening in Washington, DC.
There’s no question why Clemson football commit Bryan Bresee should be the No. 1 player in the nation.
A player with his size, strength and athleticism is just hard to come by. As a matter of fact, Bresee is the most talented defensive lineman to come out of high school since Ndamukong Suh and is being compared to JJ Watt.
Why? Because of his versatility, combined with that raw strength and unmatched athleticism.
When Bresee lines up across from an opposing offensive lineman, he has an arsenal of ways he can attack his opponent and get to the ball-carrier or quarterback. Bresee is able to simply run past offensive linemen, as well as use his agility to spin or dip into a hole. He can also just simply overpower his man at times, if needed.
At The Nike Opening Regional Camp in Washington, DC, Bresee’s dominance was on display.
Impressive Numbers:
If you haven’t seen, Bresee scored a 129.15 football rating at the Nike Opening this past weekend. He measured in at 6-foot-5 and 288 pounds. He ran a 4.80 40-dash time (85th percentile) and had a vertical of 32 inches (86th percentile).
What’s most impressive, though, is his score in the agility drill. He finished in just 4.13 seconds, good enough for the 99th percentile. He also scored in the 99th percentile in peak power (8800 watts) and the power ball (41.0 feet).
Bresee is going to impress a ton of Clemson football fans very early on in his career. He’s the type of guy that can come in and compete for a starting position right away.
Bresee is projected to play inside, but he has the versatility and quickness to play outside as well. He’s going to be a legitimate threat for opposing offensive lines in the 2020, 2021 and 2022 seasons for Clemson before he is drafted in the top-five of the NFL Draft just a few years from now.
