Clemson Football: Myles Murphy moves up his decision date
5-star Clemson football defensive end target Myles Murphy has reportedly moved up his decision. What does that mean for the Tigers?
2020 Clemson football target Myles Murphy said he knows where he wants to go to school and has set a decision date.
The 5-star DE told Tiger Illustrated and Rivals that he will announce his commitment Friday, May 17th. Murphy was originally supposed to announce his decision later, but moved up the commitment date because he said he knew where he wants to go to school.
Murphy is a talented player that would fit in perfectly as far as culture is concerned with the Clemson football program.
He is a guy that has been adamant on wanting to further his education. He took several visits just for educational purposes and came to a final three of Clemson, Auburn and Georgia. Murphy has said that he wants to major in Engineering.
With that attitude and stress on the importance of becoming more than just a good football player, it really leads me to believe that he is favoring Clemson football.
Dabo Swinney always stresses the importance of life after football. He promises that athletes who leave early for whatever reason, including the NFL, can come back to school on their scholarship to finish their education. Those qualities are something that Murphy has reportedly admired and I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see him put the Tiger paw hat on here in a few weeks.
Clemson currently has 100 percent of the crystal ball predictions for Myles Murphy. Murphy is the No. 8 player in the nation, according to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, and the No. 2 DE in the country. He is the No. 1 player out of the state of Georgia.
