6. Do common things in an uncommon way

Though this isn’t necessarily a catchphrase, it’s certainly one that has stuck with the Clemson football faithful.

After winning the National Championship, Dabo Swinney told the media that the Tigers are “a team that seeks to do the common things in an uncommon way.”

That phrase, though used before by other great leaders, hit home with many people even outside of Clemson football as it shows the leadership and character that Swinney preaches in the program.
