Clemson Football: 5-star DL Bryan Bresee commits to the Tigers
The 2020 Clemson football recruiting class got its first 5-star commitment Tuesday afternoon when Bryan Bresee announced his decision.
5-star 2020 Clemson football target Bryan Bresee announced that he would be committing to the Tigers Tuesday afternoon during a school ceremony.
Bresee, a defensive line prospect from Damascus, Maryland, is the No. 1 overall player in the 247 Sports’ Composite player rankings. He is a consensus top-10 player in the nation and was highly recruited by all the major programs around the nation.
Bresee chose Clemson over finalists Penn State, Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State.
He is the 12th commitment in the 2020 Clemson football recruiting class and should move the Tigers to No. 1 overall in the nation in terms of the 247 Sports’ Composite Team Rankings.
Analysis:
As we said earlier, Bresee is rated as the No. 1 overall player in the 247 Sports’ Composite player rankings. He reminds me a lot of JJ Watt when you watch the film.
He has an unstoppable motor and great finesse moves that combine together to make for a lethal product on the field.
Bresee will most likely play inside at defensive tackle for Clemson football, but could potentially move outside if needed.
His foot speed and measurables are off the charts. I’m looking forward to seeing him play alongside some of the other guys that the Tigers have coming in and with Xavier Thomas as the edge-rusher on that defensive line.
Bresee is a huge pickup for the Tigers. He is going to be a first-round draft pick with the potential of going top-five overall before it’s all said and done.
I believe he has the ability to come in and contribute right away and it’s going to be interesting to see how his commitment affects the recruitment of several of 5-stars that Clemson is currently targeting, including guys like DJ Uiagalelei, Myles Murphy, Antoine Sampah, Demarkcus Bowman Jordan Burch and Julian Fleming.
