The 1983 class saw 10 former Clemson football players selected in the NFL Draft.

Terry Kinard was the highest draft pick in the class, going No. 10 overall to the New York Giants. Kinard was part of the All-Rookie team and was a member of the Giants’ roster in 1986 when they won the Super Bowl.

Other notable players from that draft class included Cliff Astin, Johnny Rembert, Chuck McSwain, Jeff McCall, Andy Headen and Brian Butcher.
