Clemson Football: Where will each Tiger be drafted, and by which NFL team?
By Barry Shuck
Round 6
While the Carolina Panthers try to solve their offense problems, their defense did its job in 2018. In the draft they will most likely select offensive guys, but in Round 6 (pick #187) they should take LB Kendall Joseph (6’-0”, 225 pounds).
Panthers’ starting LB Thomas Davis will be 36 years old when the season begins, so fresh, young blood is needed to sit and learn, play special teams or come in and give Davis a blow. Joseph had the privilege of playing behind the premier defensive line in all of college football, but he still had 202 tackles his final two seasons.
He is a very prepared athlete but will need to bulk up some in order to take on larger O-Linemen which dominate the NFL. He will have to rely on his ability to read plays instantaneously in order to get ahead of blocks.
