Round 3

Early in the third-round, CB Trayvon Mullen (6’-2”, 190 pounds) could be taken by the Pittsburgh Steelers with the 66th selection (2nd pick in this round). The Steelers need quality depth and someone to compete for one of the starting cornerback positions and be a ball hog.

Pittsburgh was last in the NFL in interceptions with only two. Mullen has excellent single man coverage abilities, is extremely physical and can match up well with the larger receivers he is going to see more of as a professional.

He will have to learn not to take the first fake and be a bit more patient because NFL receivers are very crafty, but only great things await him in the pros.
