Clemson Football: 5-star QB DJ Uigalelei enjoys extended visit

The top target for 2020 Clemson football recruiting is 5-star QB DJ Uiagalelei. The talented prospect was on campus for an extended visit this past week.

The target in the 2020 Clemson football recruiting cycle is 5-star QB DJ Uiagalelei.

Uiagalelei, a 5-star prospect out of Bellflower, California, was on campus for an extended stay this past week. He and his family arrived in Tiger Town Wednesday evening and stayed through the rest of the week, attending the spring game, before heading home on Sunday.

During that time, Uiagalelei was able to show his mother the campus and get to know more about the Clemson football program and the University.

The 5-star QB reportedly had a great time and it doesn’t take rocket science to confirm that. Here’s a few shots from his week in Tiger Town.

One of the most interesting images, in my opinion, is the last one. Uiagalelei can be seen lined up in the quarterback position wearing No. 5 behind four of the Tigers’ committed offensive linemen for the 2020 class.

It’s clear that the offensive linemen, all 4-stars, have been recruiting the quarterback prospect heavily. There was an image a few weeks ago on Twitter that featured the five offensive linemen on a moving truck heading to California to pick Uiagalelei up.

The 5-star quarterback is scheduled to take a visit to Oregon later this spring and then reportedly will make a decision around June.

Right now, I’d say the Tigers are favorites certainly, especially after pulling out all the stops this past week. It definitely has to be hard to say no when you’ve got 60,000 fans already rooting for you and a ton of top recruits wanting to play with you in a place that is as special as Clemson.
