4. One of the best recruiters in the nation

Another thing that makes Dabo Swinney a great coach is the fact that he’s an elite recruiter.

Swinney has been able to sell Clemson football to some of the top prospects in the nation. He has taken the top player from states like Alabama, Florida and Tennessee, where typically, those players are kept in-state.

Swinney is able to connect with recruits because he is personable and takes time to get to know those prospects.

That’s one of the biggest reasons why Clemson football has been able to get the prospects on the top of its board year-after-year.
